The genesis of ceramic production (thoughts and reflections)

Abstract:
The text is a fragment of a letter addressed to Professor A. P. Kowalski regarding various aspects related to the beginnings of ceramic production in the context of archaeology and history. The author points out various theories and discoveries that require critical review. They also discuss new findings that challenge previous views on the connection between ceramics and agriculture. The author emphasizes the need for a reassessment of issues related to the origins of ceramic production, taking into account the cultural and social context.

ANDRZEJ Z. BOKINIEC (1961-2021) – archaeologist, ethnoarchaeologist, was an assistant professor at the Institute of Archaeology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
