Tabu dotyczące nazw duszy i ciała w wyobrażeniach starożytnych ludów Italii

Abstrakt:
Artykuł omawia łacińskie nazwy tych części ciała, które mogły być objęte zakazem tabu. Dotyczy to miejsc, takich jak głowa, serce, wątroba, albo substancji, taklich jak krew, łzy, sperma, które uchodziły za ośrodki duszy lub mocy magicznej. Zdaniem lingwisty F. Spechta istniały indoeuropejskie nazwy części ciała zawierające głoskę u. Fonem ten uważano za znak identyfikujący nazwy anatomiczne powiązane ze sferą sacrum. W artykule omówiono rezultaty badań weryfikujących ten pogląd na materiale staroitalskim. Okazuje się, że tylko niektóre nazwy części ciała miały dla starożytnych ludów Italii znaczenie magiczne, istotne z punktu widzenia praktyk ofiarniczych i mantycznych.
